You are all invited to our LA Grid 3rd Research Summit, that will take place in Barcelona on October 2-4 (Monday thru Wednesday) at the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC). Our meeting just follows the Grid2006 conference taking place in Barcelona on Sep.28-29 (see http://www.grid2006.org/Registration.htm in order to register to the conference). This will allow you to attend the conference prior to spending a fun weekend of sightseeing in Barcelona and our meeting.

A very preliminary agenda is as follows:

During the meeting, we will go over our 5 joint research project activities, achievements, and plans. We will have time for demos. We will cover the infrastructure deployment and the tools available to ease its access and our collaboration. We will have a focused discussion on public funding proposal preparation. We will also discuss plans to organize, in association with our spring 2007 Research Summit meeting in Mexico, a conference/workshop with external speakers and participants, which will give us a chance to expand our reach, run tutorials, and have discussions with other grid project leaders on setting up broader collaborations.
